Help IE and Opera not working properly

Hi I have cable modem. I can download fine really good speeds. However, when I try to browse the internet the speed is slow I have to keep on refreshing to get the page to load. Sometimes it takes up to 12 minutes to make a connection so I just try control f5. Then half the images don't load anyway.

Any ideas?

Hi Chris,
I have seen popup stopers bolck webpages and lag your machine, if you have any installed you might want to check them.

I don't think I have any popup stoppers installed and running. Have you any other suggestions? Maybe I'll consider a rebuild I'm due one anyway, but I'd like to know the true problem.

Disabled McAffee firewall and it was solved.
