help! i have a 466 that asks for a password, which i do not have. is there a way to bypass the password?
thank you.

Where does the password appear? If it is a hardware password it comes from BIOS and will get eliminated by pulling the battery or battery connection. But you will lose all your CMOS setup stuff too and have to re-enter it. Ed Fair

when it boots up to dos it asks me to enter the password. is there a way to get into the bios and change the pw?
thanks for your reply.

If it is into DOS before it asks the problem isn't in CMOS.
Try using [F8] to slow down the bootup and see where it is coming from. Ed Fair
