help i get a black screen

ok i will be on my laptop. and it goes black or blank screen no response from any thing but off and then on and its back to normal. it gets very hot so i though over heat but this time about 5 mins it was not hot i have a fan on it a desk fan. and my keyboard doesn't work on it mous pad to. i ues a very bad usb key borad. mouse i am use to for games. any help plz and thanks.

Then download avg anti spyware from the link below

(delete everything it finds)

Now download hijackthis from the link below. Open it up and choose do a system scan and save a logfile and then post the logfile on here. Do not attempt to fix anything unless you know what you are doing as not everything it shows is bad.

Try the advice above to eliminate other causes, but to be honest, I would still suspect Hardware. CPU overheat, bad RAM etc..

Other than that your log is clean. I think ssgaunt is on to something as im starting to think hardware as well. As for checking laptop hardware im not sure, wait for someone else to reply on that or check out the hardware forum forum602

EF is correct: Laptops are harder to fault find (no fans to check harder to get at the works etc), the CPU could be faulty or not making good contact with its heatsink.
Checkout the hardware forum as suggested.

ok i did that but before it did it again. it was when there was a lot of things going 5 tabs in Mozilla, counter strike and one other can't remember what it was. i guess to much work for it. it supposedly has multitasking. it is almost a year old could that be why.

Might want to check powersave mode. Go into control panel, then power options and set all turn offs in there to never except the battery warning. Also make sure your laptop is getting good airflow and not overheating
