Help!!! How to deal with Media Pools

I looked a couple of pages back at this forum but still think that I won't find an answer for my question. Herewith I kindly ask somebody to help me please!!!
I have only a couple of days to figure out how to deal with Media Pools and namely Save and Scratch pools. You can tell me - read the Administrator Manual. I did. Still need somebody shed me some light.

I was given a tape library that can accomodate 8 tapes and 16 tapes of 400GB each. The task is to make Full Backup after every Friday and Differential Backup Monday through Thirsday. I have 4 tapes for Full Backup and 4 tapes for Differential Backup.
For the next week I have the same amount of tapes, 4 for Full Backup and 4 for Differential.
That means that Rotation period is going to be 7 days, isn't it?
I created 2 Media Pools: Full Backup and Diff Backup. Then I loaded all 8 tapes into the tape library, formated them, named them respectively: 4 tapes are named Full, 4 tapes - Diff. What's next?????? How do I add them to my media pools.
My understanding is that I have to add those 4 Full tapes to Save set to Full Backup Media Pool and 4 Diff tapes to Save set to Diff Backup Media Pool. But what about Scratch sets. They are empty !!! When and how do I have to assign media to them?

Set up GFS rotation and only use one media pool. The GFS rotation will give you the backups you want with only one job. When you set up the job, go to "use rotation scheme" on the schedule tab, check "enable GFS". Read up on this for more details to get what you need. If you set it up right, the tapes will have names so you can tell which are fulls, diff, etc. You can set preserve media rules also. Have fun!
