Here's the format I have in details mode:

date/time findingName value
data data data
data data data

this is what I need:

date/time1 date/time2 date/time3
finding name value data value data value data

it's sort of like a cross tab, but I don't want the value data summarized -- i need the raw data - help!! i've been working on this for weeks and can't seem to figure it out..

if my cross tab spans multiple pages across - how do I ensure that I will get my page header to print on every page - or will it do so automatically? this report will become a part of legal docs for an institution and I need to make sure the header will always be on every page for the individual account.

the page header always prints at the top of the page. the only time you would have to worry about something like that is when you put something in the report header... the report header only prints on the first page...

Not if it goes to a "virtual" page, which only happens when a cross-tab is too wide. You might need to create a group formula that inculdes half of your columns and put the xtab into the Group Header of that group. Or, there is a technique to get a title in the Cross-tab to repeat on virtual pages. See the following newsletter for the technique:

thanks for clarifying that Ken. all the cross tabs i have done have been longer than wide so i have never experienced that, but it *does* make sense...

thanks again...
