Due to an unfortunate accident by my significant other, I now have a mess. I've managed to clean off all that I can see on the surface. However, their is still stains you can see when the power is off. Would alcohol help? Any helpful thought/insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
X

Depending on the material your screen is made of, repeated applications of very mild soap or possibly windex is your best bet. Plastics are very porous and it's going to be tough to get it out. Solvents such as alcohol or acetone can be dammaging.

Unix IS user friendly... It's just selective about who its friends are.

well, wax melts quite easily...

can you put the thing next to a hot radiator...

and then just wipe it off after heating a while.

your screen should be able to handle the heat, just make sure u switch it off...

I'll try the hair dryer & mild soap tonight. I let you know the results! Thanks!

Thanks to each of you for your quick response! The solution that worked for me was to use a rag dampened with distilled water after warming it up with the hair dryer.

Congrats....I was going to suggest heating it...and saw you got the solution.
