Hello!
Hope u can help me because i'm desperate!i own gigabyte 7N 400PRO-2 with the newer drivers (bios,SATA controller etc.) My problem is that i have changed 8 HD drives (SATA)! The first 4 were Maxtor 160GB,the followin three Seagate 200GB and the last 2 Western 160GB.The last 4 HD were checked with the diagnostic utility of each manufacturer before installin windows and were OK.The problem is that the Maxtors couldn't come back from the stand-by mode of windows. The Seagates right after the setup of XP,were unable to copy large files+crashing after a while. And the Westerns just crash. All of them after a short period of time corrupt. The vendor made a full check of my system (Ps,motherboard, controllers, etc.)+found no malfunction. The setup of XP has been made also from different CD.Also the defragment (not only of XP) never ends. The Seagate diagnostic utility found to its HD file structure error. I hope you can help me because I WILL HIT THE ROOF!!!
Thank u very much+forgive me for my english

Problem machine!!!
Have you tried a differant stick of memory?
Checked the motherboard for any signs of bad capacitors?

Tried a differant processor?
Tried a differant power supply?

There are just so many causes for instability like this.

They have told me that the processor cannot be responsible for that kind of problem.+i 'd the memory, the power supply+the motherboard checked by the vendor. that's why i'm desperate!!!!
