Help forwarding private line

I have a Exec asking me to check up on this. She has a 2616 phone with a private line. When she's out of the office they have their phones forwaded to someone else. All but the private line gets forwarded. The Private line is key 02. Any ideas?

is that the only place that scr appears and in marped turned on in your switch.. btw a private number is a pvr key, that is a true private number with a private trunk. if this is just a did (as it appears) it should forward because of the marp.

On the TNB (LD 14) for the private line check the setting for CMF (call modification). As I understand it this needs to be set at yes to allow for redirection of private lines.

Ignore my earlier post. On closer review I see your not using a trunk private line.

From what I'm told, this is a private line. I don't know how to verify that, I'm new to phone systems.

Per the posted TNB of the station key 2 is an appearance of a extension and not a private line in terms of Nortel PBX programming. This is a common setup as executives like to have a private/personnal number that they can give out to a select few associates.

Of course you still have a problem with call forwarding this number. Try changing the LHK to 2 as HASAGO recommended and test. Also go to LD 20 and print a DNB on that extension - x3815 - and if it appears on another TNB in addition to 08 0 00 11 print out that TNB(s) and post for us to review.

We'll get this thing figured out.

The phone with the MARP 8-11 controls the FNA/HTA of the EXT's.

Looks like they are calling it a private line when in fact it is really just an SCR key.

Is the problem with hunting or forwarding? If it is a forwarding problem, then changing the LHK value will not have an affect.

Does the user forward the set by using the call forward key or does the user simply allow the forward no answer feature (after X number of rings) to forward the calls?

Your DNB shows that x3815 appears on four telephones in addition to the executive's telephone. This is likely the source of the problem. Look under Call Forward All Calls in the Features NTP for details.

There are two solutions:

1) Remove x3815 from all telephones except the executive's.

or

2) Add a telephone with x3815 on Key 0 and Call Forward that phone and the existing phone when the executive leaves the office.

i still think you need to chech your patch levels, i just added a scr to my phone, shows up on 6 sets, marped it to my phone, built on key 6, forward works fine.. rls 3 81c
