Hi All,

Did a bunch of testing on a number of ACS's Partner Messaging R1 and R7's. I have found when trying to connect to the RS232 Port to change the IP address, only the 19200 baud rate would work for me on all R7 units. No slower or faster speeds would. However, slower speeds did work on R1 Partner Messagings. So the setting in Hyperterminal did work as stated in the Manual

for my Dell Laptop: Com1
Bit Rate: 19200
Data bit: 8
Par: None
Stop: 1
Flow: none

Remember you do need the serial to parallel connector (which plug into your computers serial Port -2 rows nine pins) followed by the AT&T 355A - followed by a standard Ethernet Cable plugged into the RS232 Port
I hope this help someone...

These settings worked well for me. Had 38400 suggested to me and could not connect. One other question. What do I need to use for the logon and password? Is it the password for the R7 Messaging as setup via x10 or something else?

Thanks.

Grant

Yes, you set up the password on intial installation. Use the same password.
