Hi. By accident, a folder (under Outlook Today) was deleted from the user Mailbox this morning. I need to get that folder back. Is any way to recover it? We use Exchange 5.5 and Outlook 2000. Thanks in advance!

Assuming you have your Deleted Items Retention on your Exchange server setup, you could probably do this:

1 - From the client's Outlook, have them go into their 'Deleted Items' folder.
2 - Click 'Tools' -> 'Recover Deleted Items'.

If you see the Emails you lost in there, recover them. If not, I hope you do brick-level backups!

Hope this helps!

Thanks. But only deleted mails store there - no folders. Any other ways? Thanks again.

Gotcha. If you need to recover a built-in folder within Outlook, such as Tasks, Notes, etc, you can run the following command from the command line of the affected PC:

(Assumes the location that Outlook is installed at)
"c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Outlook.exe" /resetfolders
