Help Files--Content Files

I am writing help files using microsoft help workshop.I have created some help files.They jump from one file to another as I wanted to.But the problem is whenever they jump from one file to another I get a message pop-up "The topic does not exist.Contact your application vendor for an updated file".What does this actually mean???

How can i create content files?where do i need to execute them.
How can i integrate these help files to my project?
