Help-- DVDrom & CDrom Just disappeared..?WinXp 1

HELP ___ Had to ask a question.
help-- I Had a big problem... WInXP... all of a sudden cdrom and dvdrom are not recoginized. Not seen in win explorer or anywhere but drives open and show power...HOW CAN I FIND THEM AND GET THEM BACK,,,>>>

Thanks for the tipz..! But still no joy.. Never installed/unistalled EZCD. Never uninstalled anything.!
I can view them in device manager but even after unistalling and then reinstalling they still show up in device mgr with a yellow exclamation tag... anyH E L P

this is comment when trying to re-insatall...

-Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)-

you need to repair your windows xp
boot the xp install cd
go till it asks you to install xp
say yes
the program will detect previous installation of xp and ask if you want to repair it
say yes
**** be aware that you have a corrupt registry and the repair option after the computer reboots as part of the install process could lose the CD drives and ask you where the cd install disk is****
if that is the case you will have to do a fresh install
backup all of your data before you do this.
