HELP!...Deleted Wrong Profile

Recently joined an XP Pro computer to a new domain. To clean up, I deleted all the old "unknown" profiles from the former domain. Big mistake. The Outlook .PST file of this user was in one of those "unknown" profiles on the C: drive. When I deleted the profile, it deleted their .PST file.

Is there any hope at all of getting that profile back, or at least the .PST file?

You may struggle without using a 3rd party undelete utility unless you had backed up the profiles prior to deletion or the profiles are still in the Recycle bin. Even then, you may be unsuccessful.

You can try some undelete software like they offer a 30 day trial but if all you need it is one file it should work. You can also Google for any free recovery software out there. Good luck.

Thanks guys. I will try the undelete software this afternoon, and let you know the results.

Well...No joy.

Several of the programs discovered the .PST file, but all of them reported it as being zero bytes.

Looks like I'm hooped.
