Hello, I have a customer that has the following system.
magix 4.0, duvoice 8 port, pri.. The customer wants to have the 2 main dlc operators answer the telephone calls first, then calls will go to vm. They also want to call forward the calls to an outside service after hours. They have DID's.
I believe I have to send all calls to a group lets say 775. Have a phantom ext. assigned to the group along mwith the two dlc's. make te group auto login. This way I can program the phanton to rcf the calls to the service. Calls should ring to the dlc op's also ?? Overlow 775 to 770 time based to 30-35 (3-4 rings). This way the dlc operators could answer more than 1 call if hey choose to, and other calls would just ovflow to vm AA after the time allowed. Do I have this correct??

Thanks

Ron k.

Remote access is the only way I know to RCF an adjunct. And if that RCF sits in an autologin group, when does a call cover to VM?

Lame solution: Subscribe to call forward (from the telco). Operator dials *72 plus the number of the answering service before she goes home. But really, this is dumb. You have a DuVoice!

Cool solution: Build a new DuVoice mailbox. Enter a mailbox number in the mailbox field. Now tab over to the extension field and overwrite the value (extension defaults to value entered in the mailbox field) with 9,5551212--or whatever the RCF number needs to be.

Because the "mailbox number" and "extension number" don't have to be identical, you can even build a DuVoice mailbox that will transfer you to *10 without human intervention. I do it all the time.

You can also assign an authorization code and forward from any station on prem.

This is covered in the Features manual. Any and all stations can have auth codes.

Hopes this helps!

If the MAin number you want to call forward comes in on one of the DLC's as a DID, and the DID matches the DLC, then just allow the DLC to be able to Remote Forward, and at night, just forward the phone to off site.

Thanks to all, I convinced the customer to allow the AA to do a no input transfer to a RCF ext.

Thanks again.
