Help creating in vectorised people

Hi guys....are ther any tutorials around that can help me achieve vectorised people like the people on the following website

Is this easy to do???? Can you create these from tracing it from a photographic image...... Am new to this and am just learning how to do things have been workin on the following from a digital image in photoshop

but want to get more of a cartoon effect...can anyone advise, criticize...point me in the right directon etc...thanks

...you won't get very close to this with the live trace feature in illustrator, your better off manually doing it with pen tool...

...basically think light direction, flat solid colors mixed with some gradient fills, shadow areas in the neck and armpits and defining areas such as breasts!...

Yeah....cheers for that guys.....think the two tutorials you both pointed out could be combined together to give the effect I am after.
