*Sigh*.. here we go again.. LOL

Some users where in a FoxPro program, and the machine died in the middle of a transaction.. (I know.. Opps!)

Here's the issue..

When I run the EXE there's an error.. With Ignore and close
if I Ignore.. the system pops back with an 'WatCom 386' error that says: "Can't read" and that's it.

If I hit close the program, I get an Illegal Operation error with the following. FOXPROW caused a divide error in module FOXW2600.ESL at 0001:0000f1c9.

Would anyone have an idea of what this is.. and if possible how to fix it?!

Thanks in advance!

Assuming you have already taken care of the Fast Processor problem ( - PATCH: Patch_26.exe Fixes Divide by Zero Error on Fast Computers, if you need to upgrade from 2.6 to 2.6a, go to then I bet on a corrupted Index. If the program has a Recreate Index ability, I'd start there. If it doesn't and you don't have a system with FPW 2.6 development install (to check and do the recreate manually), then I'd suggest you restore the data from the most recent backup.

Thank you, Rick. I Wasn't even aware that VFP2.6 has an issue with fast processers.. but I think this might be the issue!

thanks! =)
