Hi all,
I'm a novice to networking, so please forgive the likely trivialness of my question.
I'm trying to configure my DLink 704 router in order to share DSL Motorola Cable Modem Internet connection.
My ISP allows only one Internet connection; DLink wizard allows cloning my 1st PC's MAC, and that should be all.
I connected 1st PC to a DLink LAN port, and DLink WAN port to Cable Modem.
Then I set up my 1st PC's IP as 192.168.0.2 and connected to DLink's configuration software (which default IP is 192.168.0.1). DLink has correctly cloned PC's MAC address. Finally I set up my PC as DHCP client, but there's no way to cascade with Cable Modem.
Cable Modem's local IP address is 192.168.100.1, subnet 255.255.252.0: I don't know if this is a problem.
Can anyone please help me?
Thanks in advance
