HELP! Conference function not working

hey guys - could swear I have heard this somewhere before but cannot recall what the fix was - I checked existing posts and none deal with this exact issue.

here's the sitch:
user on 6408D phone set calls someone in the building, once connected, he hits the 'conference' button, gets another line and calls person #2. once person #2 answers, he hits 'conference' again and nothing happens. what gives? we've checked the COR and system features and all seems to be in order there, but must be missing something.

i can provide some snaps of the COR, the SAF and the EXT, you'll have to trust me that he has 3 line appearances...

any help is greatly appreciated!

Are the people he is trying to conference able to call each other?

Is the last appearance restricted so it is available for conferencing?

Yep...check his set..page 2 and see if "restrict last appearance" is set to y if it is change it to n..should be good to go...it's saving it for an incoming call...

list trace station xxxx

and see what the denial event is?

Actually the restrict should be yes. It holds it for the transfering and conferencing functions.

My bad rj....don't know what I was thinking....but I think he's going to need an additional apperance..don't think it's going to let him use all of them up...Wants one for incoming left over !!
