1) I have a 32 port media card installed in slot 6 of a 1 cabinet system. I configured the IP address for the system active ELNK Ethernet interface (LD 117) and it is enabled and active .I have created a zone (zone 0) with the default bandwidth settings and have verified that it is enabled as well.

2) I proceeded to (LD 14) where I have configured three TNs for the voice gateway 6 0, 6 1, 6 3.

3) In (LD 97) I configured virtual super loop 112 with the default settings.

4) I have configured 3 I2004 phones with TNs 77 0, 77 1 & 77 2 based on super loop 112 using cards 77 – 80, I have used all the default settings except for zone based on step 1) above.

I have software version 4.0 on the succession and OTM 2.2 for programming. I have no idea of what to do next, the steps I have done were found on the IPL 4.0 documentation CD. OTM 2.2 is installed on PC I use to configure this switch with, I have been able to login and attempt to create nodes add cards etc. with no success. I have all my IP addresses which were setup by a service tech and all appear to be in the same range and have matching subnet mask assigned. All I need to do for now is to setup one
IP telephone and be able to call a digital extension from where I left off at step 4. I would prefer to use Optivity Manager or LDs for programming.

Possibilities I have eliminated:
1) Gateway card is loading the application.
2) I have all software packages and ports needed.

Thanks, 1way2.

What sw version do you have on the MC32?
When you login to the maintenance port on the MC32 what username and password are you using...? The standard password or the low password on the pabx...?

i2007

I am logging in to the gateway card with Username: ITGADMIN
and Password: ITGADMIN

I am logging in to the OTM application with Username: Administrator and a password configured for that pc

I have had a simmilar problem - have a look in you otm site you have created - make sure everything is ticked under system data -

I currently have a gateway programmed with
Maintenance ip address 192.168.1.16
Maintenance Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
Voice ip adress: 192.168.1.16
Voice subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Route Net Table
destination gateway
192.168.1.0 192.168.1.16

Route Host Table
destination gateway
127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1

Do these addreses make sense? If not can anyone tell me how to change these so they do make sense, this information was extracted from the mediagateway maintenence port.

1) Create a site in OTM Navigator
2) Create a Node in IP line menu in the Navigator using the site you first created.
The Maintenance IP@ (ELAN) must be in a different subnet as the voice IP@ (TLAN).
3) On serial port MC Card create "setLeader..." and reboot.
4) Check that your PC is able to ping the Media Card
5) In OTM, transmit the site to the MC Card
6) Zone 0 should be avoid. Create Zone 1 or ..
7) Create up to 32 VGW ports in LD 14 for this board
8) Create your IP phones
9) Connect IP phone and enter parameters as described in NTPs

Training should be necessary for more details or read all the IP Line NTPs....

Thanks to everyone that has responded, I have solved the problem.
