Help Activating Access Code On Line Pool B

CICS 4.1 SYSTEM
6 incoming lines assigned to line pool A
1 VOIP line assigned to line pool B

Access Code 9 assigned to pool A
I want Access Code 8 assigned to pool B

I go to "System Programing" and "Access Codes" then "Line Pool Access" scroll throught o line pool B: it says "None"
I hit the soft key "Change" and try to assign 8 as the code. When I press 8 it does nothing, also I have tried Pool C with the same results.

Thanks for any help.
 
8 is used for 'something else'

try a different # like 5
 
I have tried every number. It seems as though 9 is the only one that can be input.

I've never done it in Norstar, but in the BCM you don't assign a number in the access codes, you do it in the dialing plan and under VOIP trunks you assign pool B to each VOIP trunk.
 
I/C 8 just displays 8 and does nothing else.

I have done this before, I don't understand why this system will not let me use any other number for a pool access code.

Little more info on the system,

CICS 4.1
Expanded with analog trunk card and the line card,
Every single extesion in the system is being used,
and all but 1 incoming line is used.

You must be using the 8 for something else. Look in routes or access codes to see if a code in there starts with an 8.
 
Go into maintenance and under DN status start with 8xx. You should able to find it there.
 
I finally got back on site to check on this. 8 or any other numbers are not listed in routes, only access code is 9 for pool a. Under port status, the ports end in the 200's.

Any other ideas?
