I´ve got an old option 51, I´m trying to install a Dual DTI2 Card (NT5D97AD), When I print the CFN en LD 22 It shows that I´ve got the following configuration en CEQU:

SUPL 04 08
XLT 02
TDS *02
CONF *03
MFSD *02

In the 51 manual tells that the CPU/Netwotk module has 8 slots for Network-type cards, the cards in slots 1 to 8 have cards as follow:

slot 1 -- Free
slot 2 -- conf/TDS (It`s labelèd as 2 and 3)
slot 3 -- ENET (NT8D04) (It`s labeled 4)
slot 4 -- Free
slot 5 -- Free
slot 6 -- ENET (NT8D04) (It`s labeled 8)
slot 7 -- Free
slot 8 -- Free

When I tried to define a DTI2 or SULP card in CFN It shows the following message SCH0535 (trying to add an existing loop).
Why ENET cards in slot 3 and 6 are defined as 4 and 8? They have dip switch for doing this?

NT5D97AD.. not at work, is that a network card or a dual pri? if it;s a dual pri, then slots 0 and 1.
Code:
0 2 4 6 8 10 12 14
1 3 5 7 9 11 13 15

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
if those are your slots then you can't add a network..

you need two vacant slots for a network card.. and you can use either of those for a network card.. with one network you can have a max of 4 loops.. your not using loop 0 or 1, save those for pri.. the enet in slot 3, is left loop 4 0, 4 1.. because it's an enet it is using the times slots for the next vacant slot.. your next card is in slot 6, a direct count says 10 or 11, not good old nortel, that is the right hand side of loop 8 0 8 1.. if you print supl, ld 97.. you will see the left and right settings that nigates a switch setting.. without seeing my switch or book, i am thinking that you can add a network card in 7 or 8 (left or right) and add it in 97 as supl 12 0 and 12 1.. remember build the xpe in 97 1st, then the supl

ok...I didn´t see in LD 97, and problebly there is card programm in slots 5,6 or 7, Maybe, Is This the reason because I can´t define any card in slot 5,6,7(Give me error SCH0535 that tells me that there is a loop card there)?
Why when I programm the conf/TDS card in CEQU(LD 17):
XCT 2
It takes the slot 3 asigning this automatically:
TDS 2 CONF *3 MFSD *2
(Asiging slots: slot 2 as 2 and 3, slot 3 as for, 4 as 5, 5 as 6 and 7, 6 as 8)?

because you've got a supl 8, slots 8.9.10.11 are all full. even without a card in place.. i would put the dual pri in slot 0, build the pri's as 0 and 1.. if that card has a dch daughter board, make sure the switch setting are correct, they can take down the switch.. the device number must be unique, in your case, to the switch.. (in an 81c they just need to be unique to the group)
