Hi,
Some mailservers send back the above error which I thought Id resolved...
Right, an overview of the setup we have now:
SMTP from ISP > Gateway > Firewall > Exchange 5.5
I added a PTR to the IP(block from NTL) of our gateway to give a reverse lookup on the IP to point to mailhub.domain.co.uk.
The HELO from remote servers gives the internal network name of the gateway server, not the mailhub.domain.co.uk name.
I do a lookup on mailhub.domain.co.uk for a ptr record and it says one does not exist, does this have any bearing on the problem?
How can I set the HELO to reply with mailhub.domain.co.uk rather than the internal name?
Thanks for any help provided.
Perry.
