Hello. I have the Norstar System Coor Guide, but I cannot find the answer for what I am trying to do. It is probabbly because I am not sure about the terminology.

I have three lines. Line 1 is my public number, line 2 and line 3 are simply needed for overflow.

If line 1 is busy, I need it to foward (rollover) to line 2. If line 1 and line 2 are both busy then I need it to forward to line 3. It's not rolling over.

I would also like to know how to have a button that I can program that would forward unanswered calls to a cell phone.. if that is possiable.

I read about Call foward on no answer, and Call foward on busy. But, this seems to only transfer a line to an extension. This is not what I am looking for. I just want the lines to rollover if busy.. can anyone help?

The rollover is programmed by your local dialtone provider. It is not a function of the phone system. Have them program a circular hunt so that 1 rolls to 2, 2 rolls to 3, and 3 rolls back to 1.

To forward to an outside number you need to use the line redirection feature. Each line may be redirected by one extension. Line redirection must be allowed in set capabilities if I remember correctly. Brian Cox

I think you have to have 4.1 or better to use line redirect to an external number.

Call your local carrier and tell them you want to set up a hunt group for those 3 lines.

Any software level can do line redirection. It's just cumbersome and uses lots of lines.

You must have 4.1 or better on the ICSs to do external call forwarding. Use in conjunction with Link at CO and you will not have to use two lines per forward.
