Hello Everyone,

I am having a bit of trouble getting my back up jobs to run correctly. We are using ARCserve 2000 and are backing up a primary server along with an exchange server. I can get the jobs to run seperately but when I schedule them to run one after another, the jobs crash or are canceled. At least once a week, the jobs get stuck and I have to reboot the server to get them to stop. We just had our tape drive replaced but were having these issues even before the replacement. We are running Windows 2000 server on a Compaq Proliant ML370.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Amy

When the job fail you need to restart the arcserve dicovery and the backup agent RCP in the service so that the next job will not fail again. You also need to post the error number (E8601) so it will be easier to know exactly what happen. You don't have to restart your computer to stop a running job. Download the kill tool in MS resource book kit and type the command at dos prompt: kill asrunjob.
good luck
