I have also brought a question with me. This should be an easy one. :)

We're running 2000 server with XP Pro machines, trying to redirect "my documents" for all users using group policy. Microsoft support notes' the procedure for redirecting only works if users are on Win2000 professional-based workstations. I suppose of course we could configure each workstation but isn't there another way around this? GPMC installed on an XP machine perhaps?

Any help is much appreciated!

It works on XP Pro Machines.

Is your Server running as a Domain Controller?

If not then run DCPROMO to upgrade that Server to a Domain Controller. Once thats done you want to create an OU (Organizational Unit) then move some of your users into that OU and then create and apply the GPO. Have your workstations join the domain. and then it should work with no problems.

The server is running as our DC.
I will just create an OU and go from there. Thanks!

Now come back and help[smile]
