What headset amplifiers are compatible with Partner phones? I don't want to have to do any re-wiring on jacks and want to keep it as simple as possible. What would then be required to hook the headset up? Any advise or help would be appreciated.

Good Luck!
While we have been able to find several headsets that are compatible with Partner, (like Plantronics) we have been unable to find an effective way to use them. Seems the Partner doesn't like to support a "Release" key, meaning that the handset must be picked up and put down each time. We can get a gizmo that picks up the handset automatically, but it's a crude kludge, not neat the way some other sets are. Howard Dingman

Partner headset adapters plug into the aux port on the base of system telephones. On the adapter is an "on/off" button that picks up the call without lifting the handset.

This is good and bad, in that some folks just have to have a release key on the set so they can do all phone functions from the set without having to touch the adapter as well, but it also allows the use of just about any single line device in the place of expensive headset only bases.

Many of my customers rely on clip-on-belt style GE cordless phones with headsets at ~$65 for the whole setup. Not only a headset, but cordless as well! Try that with a Plantronics and you'll pay better than $200. But, I sell a lot of Supras and Mirages, too with the on/off base, so to each their own.

Hadn't thought of doing it that way. Thanks!

Sorry haven't gotten back sooner. Out of office. Thanks for the advise. I will check into the cordless phone/headset idea. Except then, everyone will want one. :) Thanks again!
