Hi All
I have a problem with my 4610 Ip phones, I want that the agent with his headset, answers the call automatically without to press the headset button.

I have set up on station the auto-answer but it doesn’t work. What I can make?

Thank you.
Davide

Phones that have handsets usually need a button called 'headset' for the auto-answer feature to work with them.

The user would press the headset button, and the phone would ignore the fact the handset is in the cradle.

Try adding a headset button to the phone.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

the 46xx has a seperate headset button so you cant add one to the feature buttons. which software release are you on?

Have you set the agent to auto-answer, in addition to changing the setting on the station?

not all 46xx IP Phones have a separate Headset button. The 4612 and 4624 DON'T have one, the 4620 does have one. The 4610 is set up like a 4620 and does also have one

plug your headset into your handset jack, remove your handset and enable auto answer.
It shoulkd work without headset button

Hy David,
If you would like to use this option correctly, first select your agent on auto answer on acd, second add a release button on your phone mask, third connect your headset and to finish, press on the headset button following by release button. Now the Headset led will be on and when a call arrive you could hear and speak by your headset. To release the call, use release button.
In more, when you are using the speaker button, don't remember to press on headset button and release button after the and of your call.
I use my IP 4620 like this.
Kind regards

Thank you very much to all

I add a new release button on my ip phone but In this moment I'm using a avaya telephone bar, because in my platform there is a avaya's CTI (AIC), so when I use a headset and I hang up a contact with the hangup button on the cti's bar, then I must press the release button on my ip phone because I don't release the line.
this makes to lose time to the agents.
Is there someone who knows to create a new release button on the cti bar with the same functionalities to the release button on the telephone?
Thank you

Happy new year!

Davide
