A security bulletin will release May 10, 2006 that includes the Exchange store fix for the “send as” permission in Exchange. This can affect Blackberry, Goodlink and other software that uses the “Full Mailbox Access” permission.
Please be aware that if this update is applied to the Exchange servers and the permissions are not properly set as per KB912918 ( Blackberry, Goodlink, etc. will fail to function properly.
Customers need to be notified about this if they have not already.
Please be on alert if your customers call you with non-functioning third party products and they have applied the fix. This includes store.exe versions later than the following:
6.0.6619.4 for Exchange 2000
6.5.7233.51 for Exchange 2003 SP1
6.5.7650.23 for Exchange 2003 SP2
I hope you find this post helpful.
