I have a very large file (123,000) records that cannot be exported out of crystal through excel because excel has a 65000 record limit. I chose csv file for exporting. The headers at located at the top or Report Header. When I export using csv I get the file okay. However after each line the header repeats itself. I only want the header at the top, not in the detail area. Why does the header repeat itself and what can I do to get rid of? Also is there a way around the 65000 limit for excel? I would rather export using excel.

The crystal report is written in CR9 although I do have CR10 available. Alternately, is there a way to export directly to a .dbf file? The issue is the file is large

Please be more descriptive. How do I export to a dbf file via odbc and what version can I use? I have CR9 now but have access to CR10

Set up an ODBC DSN pointing at the desired database. Then,
select "ODBC" as the export format in Crystal.

Note that this can be done from Crystal only when the table doesn't already exist. For cases where you wish to append data to an existing table you need to use a 3rd-party tool (see list at
For a description of how this is done with my Visual CUT software, see:

view, email, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Another simple solution is to add a Boolean parameter
"ForExport" and suppress the page header,footer lines when
ForExport = True
