Hi guys,

Using CR XIR2 with Enterprise Repository.

I think I have a simple question.

I am creating a report with multiple groups. Each group can be drilled down to addition details. When I finally get down to the Details section, I show a bunch of fields. I want the field names for those fields to only show up as one row, when I am at the Detail level, not at the previous group levels.

How can I get this done. I tried adding another section to the Details section (Details a and Details b) and put the headings in Details a, and the fields into Detail b. But that did not work, as I was getting a heading row for each data row.

I hope I have explained properly.

Example.

Group 1
-------
Province Net Sales

Group 2
-------
Province Customer Class Net Sales

Details
-------
Province Customer Class Customer Acct ProductID Net Sales

Now, when I get down to the Details section I want the heading for those field to show. NOrmally, when you start a report the headings go in the Page Header section, but the problem is that they would be visible at every group level as well.

Thanks,
mirogak

Thanks,

You can put them in the page header section, and then use a formula to suppress the page header section:

drilldowngrouplevel < 2

That didn't work lbass. I wrote the formula and it didn't work with or without the Suppress check box selected.

mirogak,

The formula would suppress the page header section with no drilldown or if you drilled down to the group #2 section, but would show if you drilled down a second time. This assumes that in file->report options, you have "show all group headers upon drilldown". If you don't have that checked, no headers will show regardless of any conditional formulas.
