Header not repeating across the page

Hi,

I have a report that is based on a cross tab and a table placed adjacent to each other.

It has only one section. The cross tab runs over across the page as it has many columns. The Header is getting repeated down the pages but not across the pages.

Any help?

Did you check Repeat Header Across Page in the Page Break Across Section

Right Click - > Format Crosstab - > Page Layout Tab and see if both Down and Across Repeat Header is checked...

Also you need to switch to Page Layout to see the Header Repeating...

Thanks you very much sri for your reply. I have checked all you have mentioned. Its all done properly...

Even when I see in page layout..It doesn't seem to repeat the header across the page but does down the pages.

More specifically, I have 2 cross tab and 2 tables in the report, and I have checked the Repeat Header on every page option on both the cross tab's page layout tab for across...

Any more help pls..

I've never seen it repeat the header accross pages. I've seen this request for a long time.

Unfortunately, I do not think this is possible with standard functionality.

Looks like I didn't understand the exact stuff you are looking at... When you say Header Across Page what exactly are you looking out for??? I get the Header Repeated both Down and Across...

Can you put your request in alternate way so that I can check what you are looking at???

What JayaramK is looking for (I believe) is to have section headers repeat to the right when the page is extra wide.

Hi

I am sorry to have created a confusion here. I was talking about the report header.

However, these cells were not in report header and were part of section header set to repeat on every page. It looked liked report header as it was near the top of the report. Its a shear shame on me.

You got that to working or you are looking out similar to what Steve mentioned like repeating the Section Value to repeat on Across the page with the crosstab... Say you have a section on Dim1 and you have a Cross Tab which spans across page... By default you get the Dim1 value on the first page and not the next page but still you can play around a bit to get it displayed across page...

Again are you talking in right wavelength here???

My problem of report header not getting repeated across the page is resolved.

However after seeing your reply, I have now realised that the section Dimension need also to get repeated across the page.

Whats the work around you suggest psl?
