Hi everyone,
I am trying to use an HDU7/1 board with NIU2 as my primary storage device. I have a number of HDU7/1s which I have tried with, and I face a problem with some of them (its OK with the rest)
After I do FIMOE and IOSIE and remove the previous HDU/CF, when initiating the new HDU, I get this error:

<IOSII:NODE=SYSN,IODEV=SYSDISK1,BTYPE=ATA,SUBFS=SYSSUBFS11&SYSSUBFS21;
NOT ACCEPTED
NO DISK IS CONNECTED

I have tried turning on/off the HDU, restarting the NIU2 board etc. but doesn't help.
Does anyone have an idea?

Have you checked the SCSI address on the HDU?

Hi RFEXI

SCSI for ATA disk??????

Its the standard TSR 901 0441/200 cable.

hi cpux10

check the flash disk on the niu2 board.

The flash disk?
I don't want to use flash disk. I want to use HDU7/1 instead.
BUT I have tried to use the HDU7/1 as backup with the CF used, but I still get the same error.

Hi

Have you tried to connect via NIUX and perform the command :
atmft 0
This command suppose that the HDU7/1 is connected as master and that you don't have CF placed on the NIU2 board.

this command is supposed to format the disk, so if you need to keep the data stored on it, don't use it...
