Question I allocated some san disk to an aix server .. after I run the cfgmgr -l fcso and fcs1 I saw the the new hdisk I allocated ...

But I tried extending a vpath volume group using the smitty extendvg ... and I realize we are using SDD ... now i remove the disk I added from the vpath volume group now all the hdisk I allocated has a pvid

How can I convert back the hdisk I allocated from a hdisk with a pvid to a vpath again ... and extend again the vpathvg?

You can use the set of commands

vp2hd vgname : convert vpath to hdisk
hd2vp vgname : convert hdisk to vpath
