I got a very strange issue,

On a Windows2000 SP3 with LP9002L-E (driver 2.21a7 + firmware 3.90a7) with Powerpath 3.0.5, we have some ghost luns under HBAnyware (luns 16384, 16386, 16391, 16392, 16393, 16394, 16395, 16396, 16397, 16398, 16399, 16504, 16505, 16506, 16507) !!!

Any ideas would be very appreciated !

TIA

Chris

did you add HBAs? or LUNs? what did you do?
how is your configuration?

cheers.

Hi Chacalinc and thanks for the feed-back,

In fact, we got this situation since the begining of the installation. The configuration is as follow :

Symmetrix #xxxx

FA-WW-port X FA-YY-port Z

DS16B DS16B

LP9002L-E LP9002L6E
Windows2000-SP3

And by seaching, find that FAs (FA-WW-port X and FA-YY-port Z) got the Vbit set... So perhaps it could explain why we got some very strange luns under HBAnyware)
Since I try this test, I will give you a feed-back.

HBAnywhere is just for HBA Monitoring. Go to elxcfg.exe and post the settings or your HBA.

For example,
Topology = Point to Point
Then I would post what is checked on the right side
and so on...

Ok test done
VBit on = HBAnyware show some LUN 16XXX
VBit off = HBAnyware show normal LUN X

Thanks for your answer

Christian
