Have an hba zoned to 2 FAs on a DMX.

On one FA it is logged in successfully i.e
Logged On
Identifier type Node name Port name FCID In Fabric
wwn Fibre Null Null 10002 Yes Yes

On the 2nd FA its is not logged in successfully i.e
Logged On
Identifier type Node name Port name FCID In Fabric
wwn Fibre Null Null 10002 No Yes

All zoning is correct.

It is a windows host.

Any ideas why it is not logged in on the 2nd FA.

Do you have the LUN Masking correct on the DMX? I believe this is a symmaskdb command for Volume Logix.

Have checked lun masking - all is correct.

I would walk the path starting with making sure that there is light on both ends.

difficult one as wwn is logged in on one FA already.

FA settings for the 2nd FA are ok for windows hosts.

this is a connectivity issue (even bad FC cable)...

what switch are you using?
is the port listed in the switch?

Cheers.

mcdata switches.

will have the fibre analysed

ok, take a look whether you have link in the switch and whether the switch can see the FA or not.
