I am trying to retreive HBA information on an IRIX machine.
I need to find the Serial number and Hardware version (is there such a thing?) of the HBA.

I'm able to retretive most of the HBA information using hinv, scsiha and the syslog.. just not these two other fields.

if you issue hinv -vvv while in the command monitor (prom) you'll get rev #'s, serial numbers and all sorts of info. if you're using a dumb terminal just use ctrl-s and c for contolling the stop and continue of the massive amount of info that purs out. the above command can take 1-3 v's depending on how much info you want. unfortunately the system is essentially down while you do this.

Use hinv -vvvmmm in multiuser mode.
