I have programmed a button as a SCN key. However the phone is still ringing when the number is called. Any ideas would help.

Assuming you are programing the correct TN, I bet it's not the DN of the SCN key that is ringing. It's another Key on the phone - an SCR key

An SCN key will ring if there is something in the DNDR prompt other than 0. DNDR is the number of seconds before SCN (or MCN) key starts to ring.

Look at the feature "Directory Number Delayed Ringing"

I understand the thought that you are under. I have alot of experance with the Nortel PBX. I am programming the correct TN as well as I also did not beleive that the dn was programmed correct. Thought another DN was built as a SCR key. I have printed out the TN and I can see that the DN is built as a SCN xxxx d. (key 16) then key 17 is built as a scn key with the right DN on 17. This set also has other apperances built on iot as well. (SCN) they all seem to be working fine?????
