HEY ALL BELEIVE IT OR NOT I AM HAVING TROUBLE LOADING WINDOWS 95. THE LOADING SCREEN WILL COME UP BUT IT THEN KICKS BACK TO DOS WITH THE FOLLOWING:

HOST ADAPTER AT PORT 140 FAILED DIAGNOSTICS.
ASPI2DOS.SYS INSTALLATION FAILED
UNABLE TO FIND AIC-78XX/AIC-75XX ASPI MANAGER FOR DOS

UNABLE TO FIND ANY AIC-78XX/AIC-75XX
ASPI8DOS.SYS INSTALLATION FAILED

UNABLE TO OPEN ASPI MANAGER!
ASPIDISK.SYS IS NOT INSTALLED.

ERROR: ADAPTEC ASPI DEVICE DRIVER NOT AVAILABLE
CD-ROM DRIVER NOT LOADED: NO VALID ADAPTEC HOST ADAPTER

NOW WITH ALL OF THAT I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS.
FIRST, WHY IS THAT MESSAGE COMING UP WHEN I AM USING IDE. AND SECOND HOW DO I FIX IT.
ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

You have a bootdisk that has been modified to use an adaptec scsi controller set of drivers. This set is required to load 95 on a scsi drive. Ed Fair

Any advice I give is my best judgement based on my interpretation of the facts you supply.

Help increase my knowledge by providing some feedback, good or bad, on any advice I have given.

Hey guys I appreciate your input and I will check out some different boot disk, maybe now I can get some rest I hate to let thinks lay. Once again thanks.
