Hi all

I have been trying to set up an XP machine and require to set up some inhouse software on the default profile so that any new user has access to it. I have set up a local profile and then installed the software. From that i have copied the profile to the default user profile.

The software now runs on any new profile that is created but there is one problem.

There was a fix that also needed to be run on the local profile which fixed a probelm with a calander control. On the profile that was created this fix has worked, but after copying across to the default profile it hasn't worked.

Hence, all users now can access the software with all the correct rights etc but there is a problem with calander controls.

I was under the impression that when a local account is copied to the default user profile, everything should be the same.

Hopefully this makes sense and someone could shed some light on what may be causing this.

Thanks in advance.

IF the fix was a registry edit and you did not use the profile tool to make the copy to the default profile, it was not applied.

Use regedit /s to push the registry change through the logon script.
