right here goes
have got 2 domains have got a server with 2nic cards so that the two domains can ping each other, using the NAT that is provided with windows server handle the routing
users that were created before this routing process can still log on, users created after this cannot log on, all users have the same rights belong to the same groups therefore all the policys are the same, the new user can not log on because the 'domain is unavailible' but I can then log on to the domain using a user that was created before the routing process was installed...

any ideas guys and gals...

its getting the users to log on to 'old' computers...

I would verify where the "old" machines are getting their DNS from. They may be looking to the wrong place, and the old accounts are running on cached settings.
From within Domain1 do an NSLOOKUP of the DC.DOMAIN1.COM and see if it finds it, and if not what DNS server it is contacting....

Thanks,
