I used my own AVG 6.0 and it detected them right away, when I got them, so I did a scan and it quarintined a couple but when I went to do the same, the AVG stated it could not move the 2 to the vault. so, i went online to use PcCillion Trend online scan and remover now it detected them but stated they were in use and could not delete them from my computer, One is called Trojan Horse Startpage.EP is name of one and this is file infected OHNFOAFQ.exe this one tried to access the internet but my firewall stopped it,
The other is java/byte/verify (verifier.CLA) I went to symantec's site and did scan and they said to go look in thier database for safe removal instructions, now i could not find these in there?? Any Help would be Great!!
Thanks

What OS are you running?

They're probably in system restore if your using Xp or ME? If so, you'll need to flush them out by going into system restore and sliding the bar down or turn off system restore and re-enable it to flush out the traces? If you slide the bar down re-run AVG to make sure they are gone!

Boot into safemode and try AVG in there.
Hit F8 when before Windows starts to load. If you get to the Windows screen, you missed it.
Run a full scan in there and see if it cleans them.

I run Windows XP Pro version, Ok, Thanks for the info!! I kinda forgot about these issues with XP and ME(The system restore) I do have it on too. Will give it a try and hope to get rid of these nasty buggers. appreciate the advice!!

Ok. Will do that, I tried booting in safemode my antivirus would not run then, I turned system restore off and still I got rid of the trojan horse but this javabyte/verifier one will no go!!! Thanks, going to download it now!1
