Hi all,

I'm sure I have seen an answer to this somewhere but it eludes me.

I am setting up an IPO Small Office unit and when I dial out using 9, the first time I try to dial the call drops immediately and does not go through. The second time works fine.

I have made sure that trunks that are not used are set to out of service on the IPO.

If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

What you can do is to test each trunk individually by changing all there outgoing trunk group numbers in the line field except for one. Put your butt set on the line and monitor the call. when you dial 9 and the outside line, it will wait around 4-5 seconds to determine that you are done, and select that one line. That way you can test each line individually. It could be anything from a bad line to a bad port, this test will let you know which. Good Luck

Assumming you have analog C.O.lines, run call status and find out what line is disconnecting. Which ever one is disconnecting check for dial tone on that line by unplugging line from IP Office and plug line into a single line phone. If all checks OK, I would set Line programming to Loop start instead of Loop start/ICLID,then test out- going lines.

"The lack of understanding is the root of all problems

if analog test them like TheDoz said
if you don't have a phone then switch the fist with the second
if the problem moves you found the problem
also run monitor to see what happens

Hi guys,

My bad - one of the lines was not connected correctly - I had to go back to the source to check it.

Thanks for your help.
