Hi all
I have a Windows 2000 Server (Terminal Server)
runnin in application mode. Now as I've not seen this problem before, I'm not sure if its specific to outlook,
or a conbined issue with outlook running on a terminal server.

I'm running Outlook 2000 SP3 and Exchange 5.5
When I log in remotely, I don't see new mail, until I refresh the inbox.

Anyone seen this before?
Any help would be grately appreciated!
Thanks in advance

Kevin

If you google "UDP new mail notifications" you'll find loads of stuff that will help you solve your problem.

Hmmmm, that was the problem I got when I had my firewall activated when using outlook on Windows XP.

Yes, the XP firewall could well be the culprit for blocking the incoming UDP packets that carry the notification of new mail messages arriving.
