Have to access FileMaker from VB

I need to access (read and update) FileMaker 8 from VB (6 or .net) via a connection string.

I am going crazy with the ODBC which does not want to connect (TCP/IP connection refused) and the doc does not help me.

Do I need Advanced or Server?

I do not believe that this will work on just FM Pro. That is why I asked the question if I need Advanced or server.

their requirements are not nigher than fm 8...no word about need for server. :|

They need server. From their site. Unless I am missing something.

fmDotNet is a .NET class to exchange data through FileMaker Server's web publishing engine.
