Have a R7 that when a call comes in people on their phones hear clicking on line following the ring cycle. Replced 206EC and still he same trouble. Just happening in 1 out of 3 206's. Wolld you gues it's the back plane or processor.

It could be either, but I would start with the back plane. Clicking like that can be power related and maybe the cabinet is having issues causing the clicking.

It's definitely a speech path problem, caused by a cross, probably to power. It is on all 6 sta's in the 206, whether the sets are programmed to ring or not. It sounds something like what you hear when you monitor the data pair out of the card. Been trying to talk this customer into an IPO. I have a spare cabinet and I already dumped the old processor's translations into a spare R7.
