Has NAV 7.6 Corporate wrecked my server?

I wonder if anyone can help me?

We've recently installed NAV 7.6 corporate edition on our Win2k server with NAV for Exchange 2.5 on top as well.

Everything was fine for a while but today our server has been rebooted and now for some reason, some E2K services will not start!?! I'm informed that some security policy changes were necessary to allow the admin account to logon as a service? But since rebooting the server all we get now is a weird error message telling us that "%1 is not a valid Win32 app......" Are these two things related? If so, can someone help me please?

Hopeful thanks in advance!

Are you using Real Time Protection? If so turn it off to see if it may be conflicting with other apps you are running.

Good Luck,

First, restore your policies to their previous settings & see if that clears it up, then make changes incrementally until you find the problem. It's more likely that your policy changes have affected Exchange services than that Norton is the cause. Make sure all your Exchange services logons have the necessary access and that any password changes for administrative IDs have been made in the appropriate services.

We haven't made any password changes.

The only changes were to the security policies for user rights to add in the administrator account to the "act as a part of the operating system" rights.

These were added progressively to Domain security policy, domain controller security policy and finally local security policy.

The server was rebooted and everything worked. Since then, the server has been rebooted again and now it DOESN'T work... I am very confused by all this.

I've subsequently removed these permissions back to the original (pre-NAV) settings and rebooted the server but the problem remains.

Grateful for any further advice! Thanks!
