We would like to send reports to a Xerox printer that would be held on the Xerox disk until they need to be released in a downtime situation. Once we set the printer drive to use the Advanced Feature for Secure Print, the Crystal Enterprise instance that is set to print on this printer runs and thinks it is successful but the print job never hits the printer queue on the server nor the printer itself.

If you send a job straight from an MS desktop application, you are prompted to enter the password to secure the print.

Crystal Enterprise doesn't have a place to enter that information that we can find.

We are using Crystal Enterprise 11.5

We have several different models. Here is a few of them: Work Centre 5755, Phaser 3635, Work Centre 5325 and Work Centre 7346.

perhaps, depending on the budget, etc. We have Cognos but I haven't investigated the possibilites with it yet. Do you have any tools that you have had success with?

Before investigating a more complex solution, please investigate the possibility of specifying a certain IP addresses (the CE machine) as exempt from password requirement. Perhaps the printer configuration allows you to do that.

view, export, burst, email, and schedule Crystal Reports.
