I'm looking for a good automation/scheduling program with a nice easy, GUI. At present, we're using RoboMon, which was actually made for monitoring, and it seems somewhat complicated for something as easy as kicking off a batch file, or rebooting a server. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or links to software reviews?

Thanks a lot,

Try computer Associates. They have some pretty decent server automated software modules.

2 good products. The first is ShipIT by Computer Associates. It deploys the agent easy. The GUI is good, the footprint small and pushing out software is easy. The setup is pretty straight foward. The other is WinStall. If you have a W2K active directory you are set. WinStall LE is included on the W2K Advnaced Server CD for use with creating and pushing out .MSI packages.

Check Wiresoft, IBM, and Sun for good options. Wiresoft has a self-managing Linux server. IBM Tivoli is focused on large network systems management. Sun is offering computing-on-demand solutions that replace underutilized IT resources. And then there's OpenView by HP...
