I have a client on Rls 5.5 that is trying to set up an 1140E set with a Phonax ICOM Bluetooth device. The set up has audio but will not answer the phone from the ICOM unit you must lift the handset. I cannot find any documentaion on either the Nortel site or the Phonax site to tell me that this is fully compatable. The client wants this to work like the Plantronics 510. The ICOM is a hearing aid adapter and just changing to the 510 is not an option.

Oh yes....the 1140e is on the current firmware.

Thanks in advance,
Mike C

if you had other headsets paired to it try unpairing them first before pairing this one.

Unistim 4.2 is the latest for an 1140, C7M
if you have that, then that's all you can do.

Thanks for the post Triton!

I have found that the user thought that any headset that was Bluetooth would work like the Plantronics 510. User was not aware that Nortel only tested certain headsets for full functionality.

Hi All,
We are on Rel 5.0 CS1000 and wan to upgrade the IP Phones firmware from C4A to C7M. We have couple of issues with th eUSB headsets on the C4A which prompted us to upgrade. I want to know if any of you have C7M running and if you had any issues/concerns with C7M.....Thanks everyone.

C7M works fine here. USB Plantronics headset and some bluetooth headsets and no issues. Even fixed an issue with our USB headsets not hearing beep tones when a call was forced to them in our call center.
