On a 7936 set, we dial an 800 number for a conference bridge. The bridge answers and requests a PIN number. When we attempt to enter the PIN number there is no dial pad feed back tone when we press the numbers.
Subsequently the bridge responds with did not detect your PIN number. It appears the dial pad is not active after the bridge answers. I have about 10 deployed all configured the same this happens on only 3????

what kind of gw and dial-peer do you have setup?
you probable dont have dtmf-relay command in it

Thanks for getting back to me, I would agree if we were missing a dtmf-relay command in a dial-peer, however I have 10 7936’s configured, all have the same DP, Partition, CSS, all pointed at the same Rout List…only 3 sets are having this issue…in the RL is only one Rout Group w/ one PRI

Baseball2000,

It's still possible that this is a dtmf relay problem. Basically, it's a way to not subject the additional digits you press after audio cut-through occurs to the voip codec used. The lower bit rate codecs have more problems with this than g711, though it can still occur.

Is this an h323 or mgcp gateway?

It is a MGCP/PRI Gateway, all 10 sets are at the same site using g711, configured the same, only the DN is different, 7 work, 3 don't???...bad sets?...I will open up a case and see what Cisco says...I will update after I find out something....Thanks Again for your input!!
